from where I stand in the picture

A stone is not just a stone, it is most likely a treasure. Discarded bits and pieces found on the streets needs to be given a
second chance, a second look... never to be named "rubbish" before it's true potential has been examined. it might have been lost, it might be of little worth to most, but most possibly, something about it can be a beautiful find. everything speaks, everything has meaning like everyone has a story to tell. A walk is not just a walk, it is a journey in time...a pilgrim's adventure, a work in progress. A city is not a city, it is a castle... and the river is not water, it is life breathing in and out of the city with the tide. A building is not bricks and concrete, it is a home, it is a heart... with doors that can open, inner and outer walls and windows like eyes. The sky is not thin air, it is rock solid as the stars in space... concrete like the white paper in a picture... the gound on which the buildings stand...it is not a background, it is THE ground on which everything rests.

my pictures

are like Lego bits and glimpses
one journey, one page in a book, one day in a year
they don't say it all
like going for a walk on a Wednesday afternoon
they are a collection of moments caught when i was there
things i found and put in my pocket
places i noticed or chose to see
when time stood still long enough
and my camera remembered what i found
like bricks in a wall I stick them together
buildings rise on my paper
places I haven't seen before appear
I have reached my destination
the discovery ends here
I consider them found
and I am finished for the day

and the journey starts again
each day is a new day

here i am...

standing in this blank open space
white all around
no form no shape
not a dot in sight
blinding white
pure as snow
no idea where i will go
no focus no signs
but a journey in this strange land has begun
i have made my first mark
the paper is no longer all white
like a footprint in the snow
the damage is done

to be continued
my scribbling along...
